Bangkok, while a great city in so many ways, unfortunately does not have many spaces for people to walk and socialise their dogs.

The Bangkok government has made the great move of opening "Benjakitti Forest Park" in central Bangkok - a great addition to our city:

The Bangkok government has made the great move of opening "Benjakitti Forest Park" in central Bangkok - a great addition to our city:

However, indications are that the park, when fully open, will not allow people to bring their dogs. We have discussed canine access to the park with officials in the Bangkok Government, and they have said that making a section of the park dog-friendly is a possibility that they are very open to, but that they would like to see widespread support.

We would love your support on the open letter below to ensure that the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority sees that there are many in favor of this initiative. Non-dog lovers are also very welcome to join! There is a parallel petition, with an identical letter (in Thai), being run at the same time – with the final letters and signatories to be submitted together.

By providing your details, you are indicating that you support the ask of the letter and are essentially co-signing it with me.

We will send the English and Thai open letters to the Bangkok government, as well as the names, phone numbers, and emails of those supporting it, to show that there is public sentiment and support for this ask - this will make the establishment of the dog-friendly section more likely.

I submit my name and details in support of the open letter that is part of this campaign. The letter is being submitted to the Bangkok governor asking for a dog-friendly section in Benjakitti Park in Bangkok.

How we use the data you enter on this form

The data submitted by petition signatories will be checked by Dr Karanvir Kukreja and his associates on this campaign, and will be provided to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration as evidence of support for the call for a dog-friendly section. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration may choose to contact petition signatories by phone or email to verify their support.

If you check “Yes, please send me updates, Dr Kukreja will send you important updates on the campaign as it develops.” You will always have the option of opting out of updates at any time.

Dr Karanvir Kukreja and his associates will not use the submitted data for any commercial purposes or for any monetary benefit.

Your data will be deleted from any equipment of Dr Karanvir Kukreja and his associates once the letter has been submitted to the government and the campaign is concluded.
